Btw: Did you get a chance to check out some of the bands I mentioned some months ago? Recently stumbled over two new ones. Delilahs (http://www.delilahsmusic.com/wp/) being the first and Me, Valentin and You (http://www.mevalentinandyou.ch/) being the second. I need to check them out some more myself, but what I’ve heard so far sounds good.
There’s this nice regular event relatively near where I live called 8×15 which is 8 bands each getting exactly 15 minutes time and only a few minutes in between for getting off and on stage. With music styles varying from rock to songwriter to pop to hip hop… Really cool to check out new bands!
She’s gonna knock on every loaf until she finds the perfect gin?
I don’t understand bartenders.
But I love this page. And that window behind them in panel 3!
Did you know that jinja (pronounced very similar to what you wrote) means “shrine” (refering to Shintoistic shrines)?
Me knowing this by chance made your last line kinda “Haha, huh?” to me. ๐
One person’s “picky” is another person’s “quality control”.
That doesn’t sound like a healthy diet. ๐
Worked pretty well for Churchill
Aah.. Gotta add in cigars then though!

Per your recommendation, I’m listening to the Delilahs as I draw this next page. I like them very much so far.

It is also partially visible in full color on about page 9.
(And on Elaine’s left shoulder)
It looks beautiful in color!
Perhaps Elaine is a member of a secret society. Maybe she’s a stealth gin finder for this society.
A gin-ja, if you will.

She clearly should rename her bar, “Ginja”. The shrine to gin.
